Leicester's analogue TV signal will be switched off in 2011. After the switch off, only digital TV signals will be available.

No, you don't need to get a new TV as almost any TV can be converted with a digital box, even black and white ones and televisions without scart sockets.

Will your analogue VHS/ DVD recorder still work after you go digital?
After the switchover, video and analogue DVD recorders will still play and record using videotapes and DVDs as before. However, you won't be able to record one digital channel while you watch another.
