You can invite the Lord Mayor by: Letter, electronic proforma, or by ringing 0116 2232000 and asking for a proforma to be sent to you If writing, the address is The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Leicester The Lord Mayor’s Parlour The Town Hall Town Hall Square Leicester LE1 9BG Once the Lord Mayor, Deputy Lord Mayor or High Bailiff’s availability is ascertained a reply will be sent within 10 working days. An invitation by letter necessitates the return of a proforma which we will send to you. The proforma details the nature of the event, parking arrangements, dress requirement and specific arrival time The Lord Mayor's Secretariat will assist you if so required to ensure your function is a success. Click here to fill out the civic pro forma Please note The Lord Mayor (Deputy Lord Mayor or High Bailiff) is regarded as the First Citizen of Leicester and in any formal seating arrangements (dinners etc.) the Lord Mayor should be seated on the immediate right of the host/chairperson. The only exception to this would be if the Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire was present in his official capacity as the Sovereign's representative, or a member of the Royal Family. In such a case they would be given precedence over the Lord Mayor.  |
