A prominent citizen whose name is omitted in Miss Bateson's official list but who appears in other lists; born about 1270, was one of the king's coroners for Leic. 1300, and M.P. for the borough 1307 and 1311. His name as "Willelmo de Lyndrych, Maiore" at this date is quoted in a later Merchant Gild Plea Roll (Bateson's Borough Records, vol. 2, p. 29). He was assessed ixs  towards the subsidy granted to the king in 1327, in aid of the wars against Scotland. He married Mary (--) and appears to have died before Michaelmas 1332 leaving issue
