Perhaps a descendant of Henry le Goldsmith of Leic., 1270. As "Will Aurifaber" he entered the gild in 1319- 20 and was one of the coroners in 1343. He died about 1370 leaving issue by Alicia, his wife. Roger Goldsmith, presumably a grandson, was M.P. for Leic. in 1406.
