Undoubtedly a son of Roger de Knightcote of Leic. 1336, and a descendant of John de Knightcote, mayor in 1314. He was admitted into the gild in 1341,2, was again mayor in 1356 and M.P. for the borough in 1361. His name disappears from the local records soon after 1364.
