Probably identical with Richard, son of Hugh de Knightcote or Knighton, draper, who entered the gild in 1341-2, and a kinsman of Roger de Knightcote, mayor in 1353. He was M.P. for Leic. 1362, 1371 and 1381, and was living in 1393.
