Parentage and ancestry doubtful but probably descended from an old Leic. family. He was one of the bailiffs 1428~9, and M.P. in 1425 and 1433 ; married Amice, widow of Thomas Wakefield of Leic., mayor in 1393 ; was defendant in a suit in 1414 (vide De Banco roll No. 613) and was living as late as 1452.
