(Draper).

An opulent burgess who is described in the records as a draper and cutler ; was one of the borough chamberlains 1459-60, M.P. 1467, 1472, 1484, and again mayor in 1483. In a document of 1484 he is described as the "right honourable and worshipfull John Roberdes, squier." He died about 1495 leaving besides other issue a son and heir, John
