(Merchant of the Staple of Calais).

Son and heir of AId. Richard Gillot, mayor in 1467 ; was admitted a freeman 1480~1, chosen a coroner 1491, and again mayor 1512 ; married twice, and at his death in 1519, left issue. He was buried in St. George's chapel in St. Martin's church near his late wife, Alice. Will, dated 16 April 1519, was proved at Leic. 10 October 1519. William Wigston the younger, his brother~in~ law, being one of the witnesses. Isabell Gillot, his relict, died in 1524.
