He appears to have been a son or grandson of John Norris or Norrice, one of the borough bailiffs in 1439, and was born about 1440 ; was a coroner 1499, resided near the town dyke in Northgate Street where he died leaving issue two sons, John and William, at the latter end of 1509. He was buried at All Saints'. His will, in which he described himself as John Noris, dated 29 August 1505, was proved in the P.C.C., London, 22 April 1510.
