Parentage and ancestry unknown ; admitted a freeman 1490-1 and elected a chamberlain 1498. He died in July 1531 and, in accordance with his desire, was buried in St. Martin's church "afor our lady of pety." Will, dated 12 July 1531, was proved at Leic. Attached to this document is a curious and interesting inventory, bearing date 25 July 1531, of his goods, chattels, stock in trade, debts, etc., the value of which is set down at £140 16s. 8d.
