Son of Ralph and Anna Tebbe of Leic. 1471, was born about 1480, admitted free 1506-7, and was one of the chamberlains in 1516-7. He died in or about the year 1543 and was buried at St. Mary's, where also his widow, Margaret, was buried in 1550.

The most important event of his mayoralty was the death of Cardinal Wolsey at Leic. abbey 29 November 1530. In conjunction with other members and officials of the corporate body, AId. Tebbe was permitted to view the remains of the Cardinal before their interment in the Lady chapel of the abbey.
