Son of John Clough of Leic., hosier, 1481 ; born about 1482, admitted free 1505-6, was one of the borough chamberlains 1530 and again mayor 1543. Originally a painter by trade but latterly an innkeeper. At his death, about 1546, he was buried at St. Martin's.
