1537 RANDOLPH WOOD. (Mercer).

Probably a son of Richard Wood of Leic., hosier, 1475 ; born about 1482, enrolled a freeman 1517-8, was a coroner 1531-2, a collector for the second subsidy 1543, and again mayor 1547. His death took place in 1550 and he was buried in the Rood chapel in St. Martin's church. Will, dated 30 December 1549, was proved in the P.C.C., London, 19 July 1550. He devised his dwelling house in Belgrave Gate to his wife Margaret, for life, and afterwards to his daughter Mary.
