Eldest son of Wm. Pratt of Leic. 1475 ; was born about 1478, admitted a freeman 1499-1500, a chamberlain 1520-1, one of the coroners 1533-4 and later one of the aldermen. He was buried in St. Martin's church in 1547-8.

A.D. 1539. The Reformation goes forward-Leic. Abbey was finally surrendered to the Crown by John Bouchier, the last abbot in August 1539. After being pillaged and stripped, the fine abbey church fell into ruin (vide Thompson's Leic., p. 232).
