Eldest Son and heir of Ald. Thomas Cotton, mayor in 1515. he was born about 1510, admitted a freeman 1536-7 filling varios noffices later. In 1552-32 he was one of the parliamentary representatives for the borough.

By Margaret , his wife  daughter of (---) Villiers of Hothorp, Northants. Who was buried  at St Martin’s 5 January 1558-9, he had issue. He was buried at St. Martin’s 4 August 1559. Will not found
