(Bellfounder).

Son of Thomas Newcombe of Leic. 1512. He was born about 1510, admitted a freeman 1536~7, elected a chamberlain 1539, resided near the foundry opposite All Saints' Church. He married as his first wife, Katherine, daughter of AId. Thomas Bett (No. 151), to most of whose property and the business he had succeeded at the latter's death in 1538, and by her he had issue several sons and daughters.

AId. Newcombe died in 1557 and was buried in All Saints' churchyard. Will, dated 24 October 1556, was proved in the P.C.C., London, 11 August 1557. Effects £261 16s. 8d.
