Believed to have been the eldest son of AId. Roger Gillot, mayor in 1528; born about 1520, elected a chamberlain 1560 and a coroner in 1568 ; married twice and had issue. He died in 1579 and was buried in St. George's chapel within St. Martin's church 28 February 1579-80, near the remains of his ancestors. His will, executed the day before his death, was proved at Leic. early in 1580 by Margery, his relict and executrix.
