1624   WILLIAM LUDLAM, (Butcher).

Son and heir of AId. Wm. Ludlam, mayor in 1587,

was baptized at St. Martin's 23 November 1568, admitted a freeman 1593~4, was a chamberlain 1603 and a coroner in 1615 ; married and had issue.

AId. Ludlam was buried in the chancel of St. Mary's church near the remains of his parents 21 May 1628. Will, dated 1 May 1628, was proved at Leic. 20 June following.

(King James I died 27 March 1625. His son and successor, Charles I, crowned at Westminster 2 February 1625-6).
