1694   THOMAS PALMER, (Chandler).

Probably the Thomas Palmer, eldest son of AId. Richard

Palmer, supplementary mayor in 1664 ; being admitted a freeman 2 April 1661. He resided in St. Margaret's parish, married and had issue. Owing to infirmity and untoward circumstances he petitioned the corporation in 1698 to release him from their body, and at a meeting of the aldermen 13 June 1698 he was accordingly dis~ missed from further service, a pension of 4s. weekly being granted towards his maintenance during pleasure.

 

 

He was buried at St. Margaret's 2 June 1717. Will not found.

(Queen Mary died of the smallpox at Kensington 28 December 1694).
