Son of AId. John Goodall, mayor in 1680 ; was baptized at St. Martin's 21 May 1679, enrolled a freeman 13 July 1698, elected one of the forty~eight councillors 1718, chamberlain 1723 and an alderman in 1727. There is no evidence from the local records that he ever married.

AId. Goodall's name appears in the Hall Book for the last time in September 1745. He probably left Leic. soon after that date.
