Son of Thomas Peach of Northampton, gent.; was born about 1730, apprenticed in 1743 to Richard Garle of Leic., hosier, for seven years, taking up his freedom of the borough 21 August 1752, joined the council in 1762, was later sworn an alderman and mayor for a second time in 1786. He married at Quorn, co. Leic., 9 Decem, ber 1760 Hannah Sophia Stevens of that place, and by her he had seven children, several of whom died young (vide St. Martin's and St. Mary's registers). His eldest son Thomas, was mayor in 1801.
Although living for a time at Bristol in 1800, the name of AId. Peach does not actually disappear from the municipal records until after 1806, at which date he either finally removed or died away from Leic.

A few days after the demise of AId. John Parsons, AId. Robert Peach, who had previously filled the civic chair (No. 346), was chosen supplementary mayor for the remainder of the term.
