1777   JOHN COLEMAN, (Chandler).

Son of Thomas Coleman of Foxton, co. Leic., farmer;

born about 1716, apprenticed to Joshua Goodrich of Leic., ironmonger, in 1735, made free 3 July 1745, joined the corporation soon afterwards and later filled various offices; married and had issue a daughter Elizabeth, born 1745, living 1793. He resided for some years in Belgrave Gate.

Mr. AId. Coleman died 26 June 1793, aged seventy~ seven was buried in St. Margaret's churchyard near the remains of his wife Elizabeth, who predeceased him in 1775. M.I. there to both. Administration of his personal effects, etc., was granted by the Prebendal Court of St. Margaret's 25 October 1793 to his daughter, Elizabeth Coleman, spinster.
