Eldest son of AId. John Parsons, mayor in 1785; born 19 February and baptized at St. Martin's 21 March 1758, admitted a free burgess 1 September 1780, joined the corporation about 1783 and elected a chamberlain 1788. By his wife Matilda, only daughter of Wm. and Matilda King of Stoke Golding, co. Leic., who died in 1835, he had issue two sons and two daughters (registered at St. Martin's). Descendants still living.
AId. Parsons retired with other members of the old corporation in 1835. He died at Leic. 19 and was buried at Croft, co. Leic., 25 January 1847, aged eighty-nine. M.I. in the church there to him and his wife.
