1820 ISAAC LOVELL, (Draper).

Second son of Joseph Cooke Lovell, gent., sometime of Welford, Northants., where he was born in 1774. Taking up his residence at Leic., he was admitted a free~ man 5 March 1799, and four years later joined the corporation; resided in the Market Place where he carried on a drapery business for some years, but latterly lived in retirement in Friar Lane. He married in 1815 Catherine Faux and had issue.

AId. Lovell was again mayor in 1829. Six years later he retired with the old municipal body. His death took  place 8 December 1857, aged eighty-three, and his remains were interred at the general cemetery Leic. M.l. there.

Population of Leic. 1821, 31,036.

 (King George IV died 26 June 1830. His brother, William IV, succeeded and was crowned 8 September 1831).
