Third son of Robert Marston of Enderby, co. Leic., where he was born 30 June 1781. After completing the usual term of seven years apprenticeship with a Mr. Brewin, tanner, of Leic., he was admitted a freeman of the borough 30 December 1803; was a joint chamberlain in 1809 and again mayor in 1832; married at St. Margaret's 21 October 1811 Harriet, daughter of AId. Joseph Burbidge of Leic., and by her, who died in 1835, had issue. Descendants still living.
He retired from public life in 1835, leaving Leic. for his native place, Enderby, soon afterwards, where he died 20 April 1866, aged eighty-one, buried in the church, yard there. M.l.
