Planning consent is needed to display many signs and advertisements on businesses and other buildings and land.
Additionally, most advertisement hoardings require planning consent, although some hoardings displayed for a temporary period around building sites do not require consent.

You can inform the council if you believe any advertisements, signs or hoardings may be unauthorised: contact the Customer Service Line.
