Prosecutions Register
Leicester City Council aims to make Leicester a more attractive place for our diverse communities to live, work and invest in.
Our officers work closely with local businesses to ensure that they understand what the law requires of them and that they comply with all their legal obligations. Most businesses in Leicester are responsible and try to provide the best service that they can to their customers, good working conditions for employees and take care of their neighbourhood. However, there is a minority of businesses who are not so responsible. Some are careless. Some see complying with the law as inconvenient and an expense to be avoided. Others set out deliberately to cheat their customers. In such cases Leicester City Council will use its enforcement powers to compel compliance with the law.
