This consists of all 54 Members of the Council and meets about 7 times a year, in the Town Hall.

Some business can only be determined by full Council such as:-

Setting the Council Tax
Appointment of civic offices eg. Lord Mayor
Appointing Leader/Cabinet/Committees
Approval of certain plans/strategies


The Council also deals with objections made by Councillors to Cabinet decisions. The Council debates such issues and either confirms Cabinet decisions or refers the issue back with a recommendation.
