Culture and Leisure Task Group

 

 

The Culture and Leisure Task Group has started to prepare a work programme for 2007/08. 

 

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Board has approved the following topics for scrutiny.  Member led Task Groups are investigating the following topic areas to report back to this Board. 

 

This investigation has now been completed.

 

This Task Group was set up to look at the criteria for supporting Festivals and Events in the city and review the current programme.

 

The final meeting of this Review took place on Thursday 9 October. A report of the Task Group's findings and recommendations is currently being prepared for submission to the Overview and Scrutiny Management Board.

 

This Task Group will carry out a review of the City Council's Leisure Centres with an aim to assessing the buidlings, the faciliites and the services provided.

 

This review will be chaired by Councillor Paul Newcombe. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 19 November at 12.30 pm in Room 18, Town Hall.

 

 

A joint review into Leicester Markets (indoor and outdoor) will be undertaken with the Culture and Leisure Task Group and the Regeneration and Transport Task Group. The first meeting of this review will take place on Monday 10 November at 5.30pm, in Committee Room 2, Town Hall.
