The Review looked at the impact on public and business of the closure of High Street to through traffic and the impact of the shifting of the bus stops from High Street. It involved extensive consultations with bus users and local businesses.

Bus stop arrangements in Causeway Lane

A short review looked at the plans to put new bus stops in Causeway Lane to service the City Centre in the light of the opening of Highcross Leicester shopping centre in September 2008.

Effectiveness of the Star Trak real time bus service information

 

This Review was requested by OSMB to look at the view that the system was not working well enough. Technical presentations have been made and further hearings are planned

Investigation is continuing.

Decriminalised parking in Leicester

A Review of the operation of the system of vehicle parking regulations since the passing of control to the Council and in the light of changes to regulations.

 

The contractor operating the system has met councillors.

 

Two hearings have taken place.  Further public meetings are planned.

Access to cycling in the city

 

 

A Review of the strategic changes likely to shape multi-million pound investments in cycling facilities in the city has been started.

 

 

 

 

A meeting on 2 July at the Town Hall, starting at 5pm, will look at results from a survey of

A Community Allowance

The Council is one of a number of authorities which are piloting local partnership arrangements.  The Review is looking at how it might negotiate more flexible arrangements in the benefits system.
