Adult Social Care and Housing Scrutiny Commission
The Adult Social Care and Housing Scrutiny Commission aims to scrutinise the decisions taken around adult social care and housing services in Leicester, to ensure that these services provide good quality care and value for money.
Although the Commission has no formal decision-making powers, it makes recommendations to influence and shape the decisions taken by the City Mayor and his Executive team. The Commission does this by formally reviewing specific areas of adult social care and housing.

Elderly Person's Homes Review
The first major review of this Commission was into the future for elderly person's residential care in Leicester. The report for this review, and the overview report was approved at the Adult Social Care and Housing Scrutiny Commission on 8 December.
