HIGHCROSS LEICESTER OFFICIALLY OPEN
The highly anticipated launch of the £350 million leisure and retail destination, Highcross Leicester opened its doors to the public on 4th September 2008 after two years of construction and welcomed a record number of visitors - over 125,000 on the first day!
Fashion brands such as Hugo Boss, Cruise, All Saints, Hobbs, Reiss and Zara are a few of the renowned labels featured in the new Highcross Leicester.
It also includes a flagship four-storey John Lewis department store and will absorb the existing Shires to bring a total of 110,000 m2 of retail space to Leicester – making it equal in size to the internationally renowned Bullring, Birmingham.
As well as a tempting retail offer, Highcross Leicester also incorporates dining experiences from around the world in a brand new restaurant quarter. The new area features 16 contemporary restaurants and cafes including YO! Sushi, Wagamama, The Handmade Burger Company and Carluccio’s.
As one of the most exciting mixed-used complexes in the UK, visitors to Highcross Leicester can also unwind after a hard day’s shopping by seeing one of the latest blockbuster films at a luxurious 12-screen Cinema de Lux.
