We work in partnership with national and local organisations to bring you a range of exciting activities and initiatives to support reading, learning and community life in Leicester.
Our monthly newsletter has information about events, activities and the exciting books we have on our shelves. If you would like to subscribe to receive this by email, please ask at your local library.
Festival of Learning
This is an annual national initiative to promote lifelong learning. We offer a range of taster sessions in most of our libraries and publish a brochure of events and activities in the run up to the week each year. This year’s Adult Learners Week runs from 22-27 May 2017.

A reading group is an exciting opportunity to get together with others to try authors and titles you might not have considered and share your thoughts about books.
For further details, visit our reading groups section.
We frequently produce booklists to help our members find the books they love. Lists we have produced have including crime fiction, great books for 11+ year olds and 'ghostly and gruesome'. We aim to give our readers a sample of the great books we have.
