Beaumont Park
Beaumont Park’s large landscaped open spaces are dotted with small woodlands and wildlife areas, close to Beaumont Leys Shopping centre.
The park has good pathways and plenty of seating allowing people to take a break and enjoy the open spaces. Large grassed areas are suitable for a variety of leisure and recreational and include a purpose built BMX track.
An avenue of trees each side of the pathway leading to the Krefeld Way crossing mark the end of a road dating back to the early 1900s, the line of which can still be followed through the modern development to the Abbey Pumping station on the River Soar.
The paths, tracks and bridleways allow visitors to wander around the park to enjoy the trees and woodlands on the park. Look carefully and you can discover an ancient coppice ash stump.
