We've seen an increase in residents and visitors using new facilities at our leisure centres. We also have many parks and open spaces where you can do sports.

The following leisure centres have dedicated outdoor activity areas:

Aylestone Recreation Ground

Bookings need to be made at Aylestone Leisure Centre:

  • New pavilion
  • New synthetic pitch
  • Fenced off area
  • Floodlights

Cossington Street Sports Centre    

  • Refurbished ball court
  • Floodlit
  • Fenced off area    

St Margarets Pastures    

  • Four 3G seven-a-side floodlit pitches
  • One full sized floodlit pitch which can be split into seven-a-side pitches, with bookings available for hockey and football
  • Bar area, which can be hired as classroom or small meeting room.    

New College

Bookings need to be made at New Parks Leisure Centre:

  • New pavilion

  • Fenced off area

Riverside

Bookings need to be made at Spence Street Leisure Centre:

  • New pavilion
  • New synthetic pitch
  • Fenced off area
  • Floodlights

Many parks and open spaces offer a wide variety of sporting facilities such as football, cricket, bowls and tennis which are run through sport on parks.
