The City Gallery’s open exhibition is Twenty-One this year, this visually stunning and diverse exhibition presents a dynamic array of artworks and contemporary craft by artists from Leicester, Leicestershire and the East Midlands.

 

This exhibition is a great barometer of creative talent in the region with a wide selection of different artforms, from landscape painting to photography, illustration and sculpture, textiles and ceramics. All the artworks are for sale, providing a perfect opportunity to start your very own art collection.

 

This year’s selectors were Leicester-born artist Chris Coekin, Ashok D Mistry, Artist and Ellen Bianchini, Leicestershire Woman of the Year and Festival Director, The Spark Children's Arts Festival. Look out for fantastic artwork by young people from Leicester, selected by The City Gallery’s Youth Panel.

 

Once again, Leicester City Council have awarded the Attenborough Prize (£2,000) to the best contemporary visual rue false%> (£2,000) to the best contemporary visualartist exhibiting in the exhibition. Come along and pick your favourite artwork for our ‘People’s Choice’ Prize, with young artists to well-established names.
