Search planning applications
You can access our planning database on-line. It contains over 125,000 planning application records going back to 1948 as well as records of planning appeals and enforcement notices. You can also search for planning applications by address or postcode using the CityStreAtZ mapping system.
The Planning Applications Database also gives access to our on-line library of decision notices virtually all planning decision notices since 1948 are available to view on our system.
Almost all Planning Decision Notices back to 1948, together with Conditions and Refusal Reasons (where applicable) are now available to view and print free on-line. Please note that new decisions may sometimes take a week or so to appear on this system, due to essential checking processes. These can be viewed using Application number on the database.
Scanned images of Planning Application documents (plans, application forms, etc) from about mid-2006 are available to view on this web site. If the documents don't load, please contact us for details. Planning application documents are always available for viewing during normal office hours at New Walk Centre. If you want to inspect an older application, please contact our Planning service first to arrange an appointment, so that we can be sure that the documents are available. We may be able to make scanned copies of older applications available to view on the web site.
If you've recently made a planning application and want to check its progress please contact us for more information.
