Search our planning database
Our planning database online contains over 125,000 records going back to 1948. You can search for planning applications by address or postcode.
The database also gives access to our library of planning decision notices going back to 1948.
Search methods on the planning database
You can search each database by reference number, address, proposal keyword, and other fields. You can query the system for a range of dates received and determined or resolved. Each of the search screens provides guidance for completing the fields. Look for the help icon next to each field.
Progress of recent applications
The database is updated frequently so you can monitor progress of individual applications or appeals. To establish the current status of any live case, or for additional information on any case, you can also contact the planning team.
The database includes recent applications that have not yet been validated and 'booked in'. The period for publicity and public comment doesn't begin until the Date Complete/Valid field is entered.
