Leicester Adult Skills and Learning Service offer workclubs. These are run on a weekly basis at various settings across the city.

What you'll learn

Learners work towards learning outcomes to develop the skills required to be able to effectively and independently search for work, including:

  • Searching and applying for jobs using the internet
  • Using email to apply for jobs
  • Setting up and using the Universal Jobmatch account
  • Understanding the content of a CV
  • Creating or updating a CV
  • Composing and producing a covering letter
  • Completing paper application forms
  • Identifying realistic work opportunities
  • Identifying skills and training needed to achieve goals
  • Preparing for an interview.
