It’s been a great year for sport in Leicester. Officially the 2008 United Kingdom European City of Sport, Leicester lived up to its much-deserved title.

We kick-started the 2008 Year of Sport with a huge sports conference at Walkers Stadium in January which showcased the City Council’s plans for events throughout the year to bring people and communities together through sports.
