We've introduced simple charges for parking in our car parks.
Can I use contactless or chip and pin to pay?
Contactless or chip and pin card payments have been introduced at all pay and display car parks, and is available on some on-street machines only.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition
Automatic Number Plate Registration (ANPR) systems have been installed at Newarke Street and Haymarket multi-storey car parks. In addition, new payment kiosks allow for payment by cash, card and contactless.
We have also introduced AutoPay at these two car parks. This is an automated payment system, which records when a vehicle enters and exits a car park, billing the account holder's payment account without the need to manually make a cash or card payment at the kiosk.

What is a Night Owl rate?
The Night Owl rate provides cheaper or free parking for vehicles arriving after 5pm, which is available at all car parks. Please always check car park tariff boards for charges that apply.

A number of on street pay and display parking bays are available across the city centre and at various other locations. Charges will vary depending on the location parked.
Pay and display machines and sign plates for the parking bay should always be checked for the parking bay operation times and for any charges and rules that apply.
