Leicester Community Legal Advice Centre
Leicester Community Legal Advice Centre opened its doors to the public on 1 April 2008. Located in Charles Street, Leicester, the new Community Legal Advice Centre provides Leicester residents with information, advice and representation on a range of legal problems:
- debt
- welfare benefits
- housing
- community care
- employment
- family and matrimonial issues
The new service is jointly funded by Leicester City Council and the Legal Services Commission for a period of three years. The contract to deliver this new service was awarded to A4e and Howells solicitors following a Best Value Tendering exercise.
The main benefits of the new customer focused service, include:
- A single point of access capable of meeting clients multiple legal problems,
- Improved opening hours and provision of service across multiple locations identified as high need by community organisations.

Opening times: 9.00 am to 6pm Monday to Friday except Thursdays when the Centre is open 9.00 am to 9.00 pm with appointments only from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, and Saturdays 9.00 am to 12.00 pm.
A drop in service is available Monday to Friday 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m
