Responsible authorities
Responsible authorities are defined in the Licensing Act 2003. These authorities are able to comment on applications made under the Act, and apply for a review of a licence in certain circumstances (see 'Review').
Certain applications need to be served on all or some responsible authorities on the same day as the application is made to the Licensing Authority.

Leicestershire Constabulary
Any notice to the police required under the legislation should be served on;

Because of the tight time constraints imposed by the Act the use of e-mail, when available, is recommended by the Constabulary. Faxed notices are acceptable, as are those sent by traditional mail.

Applicants do NOT need to serve notice on the remaining responsible authorities in Leicester. The Area Child Protection Committee is served via the Police. The remainder are within Leicester City Council and will be served via the Licensing Authority office. However, contact details for advice are as follows:
