It hopes to achieve this by making producers responsible for financing the collection, treatment, and recovery of waste electrical equipment, and by allowing consumers to return their waste equipment to distributors free of charge.           

 

In Leicester this is supplemented by the bulk collection service if you have a large item, or you can take all electrical items to a Community Recycling Centre.
