Disability Equality Scheme

Disability Equality Scheme 2006-2009

This page features Leicester City Council's first Disability Equality Scheme and Action Plan. The scheme is a key part of the council's equality strategy. This follows the Disability Discrimination Act 2005 that came into force 4th December 2006.

Leicester City Council values the contribution disabled individuals make to the diversity and life of our city. We strive to improve the life quality of all Leicester residents, and our commitment to disability equality is vital to our efforts.

Find out more about our service provision for Physically Disabled and/or Sensory Impaired Adults. If you have feedback on these services, please complete the questionnaire available at the Leicester Disability Information Network web site.
