Geoff has had 35 years’ experience as a provider, commissioner and regulator of social care. He held senior management positions in Social Services Departments before transferring to the National Care standards Commission as Area Manager and the Commission for Social Care Inspection as Business Relationship Manager and Policy Manager (Children’s Services).

He has developed the Annual Performance Assessment methodology and represented the CSCI on the DfES Board that reviewed the children’s services’ National Minimum Standards and Regulations. He also represented CSCI on the Cross-Inspectorate Safeguarding Group which developed the policy and procedure for New Ofsted.

He has a particular interest in safeguarding issues and serious case reviews.

Geoff has been CRB cleared.
