Sue Swann
Sue Swann is a registered nurse and midwife who has extensive experience as a senior manager in both the independent sector and the NHS. She managed the Gynaecology and Maternity services at Kettering General and as a Matron at one of the Nuffield Hospitals managed and developed the children's services. Sue also worked at the Department of Health as the lead for abortion services and sexual health issues which included teenage pregnancies. She has been in regulation as an inspector since 2002 with the National Care Standards Commission and laterally the Healthcare Commission.
Her case load includes children's service provision in acute settings, mental health and learning disabilities and a children's hospice and also two PCTs and a Mental Health NHS Trust. She is a member of the Knowledge Network for Sexual Health which includes Maternity, TOPs and IVF and is also a member of the Safeguarding Children Group. Sue has enhanced CRB clearance.
