Getting married in a Register Office

You can chose to be married in any Register Office in England or Wales irrespective of where you live within England or Wales.

As soon as you have decided on the office you prefer for your wedding you should contact that Register Office regarding the procedure to reserve a date and time for your marriage. The team at the office will advise you on how to begin the legal preliminaries, the marriage ceremony, the payment of fees and other relevant information for your wedding.
