Renewal of vows
The city of Leicester Register Office is pleased to be able to offer couples the opportunity to renew their marriage vows in a civil ceremony.
This ceremony is for any married couple wishing to celebrate renewing their marriage vows in a unique and personal ceremony. It may be associated with a special wedding anniversary, a wish to celebrate a renewed commitment to each other, or for any couple who have married abroad and now wish to celebrate with their family and friends, some of whom may not have been present at the original ceremony.
Any married couple, of any age and married for any length of time can arrange a ceremony. You do not have to reside in the area in which you wish to hold your ceremony.
Ceremonies are held at the City of Leicester Register Office or at a number of suitable approved venues within the City of Leicester.

Ceremony at the Town Hall
Mon - Fri Standard - £100
Enhanced - £150
Saturday Standard - £120
Enhanced - £180
Ceremony at an Approved Premise
Mon - Fri £175
Saturday - £250
Sunday or Bank Holiday - £300
Please note that a non-refundable booking fee of £50 is required. This would be payable in cash or cheque made payable to Leicester City Council with a cheque guarantee card.
Leicester City Council would like you to be aware that the renewal of vows ceremony has no legal effect.
